Summer Camp Session 8 - July 16-20, 2018

Theme: Aquatic and Terrestrial Invertebrates - Insects, Bugs & Worms
Add to My CalendarJul 16-20, 2018
Last Date to register: Tuesday, January 1st, 2999

The eighth week of summer camp!

July is usually pretty hot - a perfect time to learn about aquatic invertebrates (common insects that spend a large part of their life-cycle underwater!). Campers will learn to diagnose the health of a body of water based on they type of insects found in the creek. We will also catch and identify detrimental and beneficial garden bugs and learn how to garden without pesticides. Lots of great invertebrate-inspired arts and crafts will be offered.

Numerous activities will be offered throughout the summer regardless of weekly theme. Activities include archery, art, bicycling, climbing, crafts, crawdads, creek play, ecology, exploring, felting, games, gardening, hiking, knitting, music, nature study, paper making, pottery, rappelling, singing, trampolining, tree climbing, wildlife, yoga and much more! Our focus is on nature, the environment and ecology. We strive to provide a safe fun place where children can enjoy wide open spaces and learn to love and respect our natural environment.

Come play outside with us this summer!
