Backyard Scientists December Session

On Thursdays in December, K-5th graders can come to the nature center for outdoor nature and science activities with the theme of Geology and Earth Sciences. This session consists of three Thursdays in December, 1st, 8th, and 15th. Students will need to come prepared for outdoor activities. Please dress for the weather and bring a refillable water bottle, lunch and snack. An email letter with detailed information will be sent a week prior to the program starting. This class is from 9:00-12:30. Prorating options available if you cannot attend all 3 classes. Email [email protected] for more details.

Thanks for choosing the Dunwoody Nature Center where kids thrive. AGE REQUIREMENTS ARE FIRM. We cannot make adjustments to place younger or older siblings and friends together in the same class. BEHAVIOR POLICY. Please read the behavior policy that you can download from our website https://www.cognitoforms.com/DunwoodyNatureCenter/DunwoodyNatureCenterCampBehaviorAgreement. A parent or guardian must sign this policy on the first day of each session. REFUNDS: There are no refunds or credits during the two weeks prior to the start of each session. If you cancel more than 2 weeks from the start date, we refund 80% of the fee. WITH THIS REGISTRATION, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING: 1) I understand that neither the Dunwoody Nature Center, Inc. nor the City of Dunwoody provide insurance to cover any injury sustained while participating in an activity organized by the Nature Center. If my child should become ill or injured during a camp or class, I understand that DNC will a) contact me immediately or b) contact the emergency contact(s) I designate. If I or emergency contact persons cannot be reached, DNC is authorized to contact my child's physician or arrange for immediate emergency treatment to ensure the health and safety of my child. I assume full responsibility for payment. 2) I grant DNC the right to take and utilize photographs of me and/or my child or group participating in an activity for the purpose of promotion and advertising. 3) Bright from the Start Exemption Notice: I understand that class at the Dunwoody Nature Center is not licensed under the State of Georgia's Bright From the Start. Class operates under an exemption from licensure Rule 591-1-.46, exemption rule #6 and #7.
