2021 Spring- Sunday Nutrition Class

Age: 14 and older
Add to My CalendarFeb 21-May 09, 2021
Last Date to register: Monday, February 15th, 2021

This class will be interactive and hands-on, meaning that we will incorporate a variety of engaging activities to bolster student learning. During our 11 weeks together, students will have the chance to…

  • Track lifestyle habits using this fun and easy-to-use spreadsheet

  • Create a multimedia art project of what a healthy, well-balanced meal might look like

  • Practice identifying and ordering healthier food on a restaurant menu/website

  • Learn ways to make their favorite foods healthier

  • Do an in-house scavenger hunt to find healthy foods

  • Learn how to navigate a grocery store while balancing a budget

  • And more!

We will focus on applying our knowledge of nutrition to real-world, real-life situations, like ordering food at a restaurant, buying groceries, and cooking healthy meals at home. This is why the class is called “Nutrition in My Life”! By taking this class, YOU can make good choices about nutrition to live a happy, healthy life.

About the teacher:
