Urban Experience 2019

This course is a two week, full-day study of issues facing metropolitan Atlanta, including poverty, racism, homelessness, immigration, transportation and the environment.  Through readings, site visits, guest speakers and small group discussion, we will not only learn about these challenges, but also about the different organizations--community, governmental and faith-based--that are working to solve them.

This class will be taught June 3-14  from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. It is open to rising grades 10-12. Please note that priority will be given to rising 11th & 12th graders until February 1, 2019.Students should bring money to purchase lunch every day. The tuition is $1,250. This course earns 0.5 units of credit as an elective religion.
