Summer Theater Conservatory: Session Three (Grades 2-9)

two-week camp: Dorothy in Wonderland The Musical
Add to My CalendarJul 27-Aug 08, 2020
Last Date to register: Wednesday, July 15th, 2020

Summer Theater Conservatory engages your child in every aspect of a musical theater production: acting, singing, and dancing, as well as costume, prop, and set design. Students discover and refine various theater skills in classes and workshops and then apply these new abilities directly to the production. Coached by theater professionals, students gain confidence, get creative in all avenues of theater-making, and make memories that will last for years to come!

This two-week conservatory session will feature a production of Dorothy in Wonderland: The Musical! Dorothy, Toto and the characters of Oz get caught in another whirlwind that sweeps them off to Wonderland, where they meet Alice, White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, March Hare, the Cheshire Cat and many more!  It’s truly a mad adventure!  And you thought the Wicked Witch of the West was bad? Now they face a dangerous new foe — the Queen of Hearts! At least Dorothy’s companions now have their brains, heart and courage! Dorothy, Alice and their friends join forces to defeat the queen at croquet, but will that be enough to return Wonderland to normal and get everybody back home?

PLEASE NOTE: Campers who need to take days off camp for traveling MUST get clearance PRIOR to casting on the first day of camp. Unexcused absences will affect performance roles.

PERFORMANCE INFO: There are two performances of the production:  the evening of Friday, August 9th and the afternoon of Saturday, August 10th immediately followed by a 90-minute strike. Campers MUST be able to attend both performances.

EARLY CARE: Early drop-off, from 8:00am-8:45am, is available for purchase by the week as a registration add-on.
