2015 Spring - Hoboken Flag RFC

Come and play flag (non-contact) rugby where everyone gets to run, catch, tag, pass, and score! Dash down the field, side-step defenders, dart through gaps, and work with your teammates to reach the try line.
 
 
This exciting, non-traditional sport is suitable for BOYS AND GIRLS that will involve lots of fun tagging, evasion, and team-invasion games while learning all the basic fundamentals of flag rugby!
 
 
Absolutely no rugby experience is required - you will learn everything from a trained rugby coach who will deliver Play Rugby USA's after-school curriculum.
 
 
Program Includes: Two Play Rugby USA certified coaches, free Hoboken RFC practice shirt, twelve practice sessions, free entry to the 2015 NYC Rugby Cup Festival, full equipment, field rental, program management, and entry to various weekend tournaments!
 
 
Hoboken Hawks RFC (HHRFC) is run by Play Rugby USA who operate the largest rugby-based youth development program in the country. As such, this program will be very inclusive and open to children of all backgrounds and athletic abilities. We welcome parents to watch, support or volunteer. In addition to running fun weekend practices, HHRFC will offer travel teams which will have the opportunity to compete in local tournaments during the spring and summer. These tournaments are open to all players but are optional. 
 
 
Please come and enjoy our two fun and free "Try Flag Rugby" sessions on March 22nd, and March 29th! No formal registration is required but guardians will be asked to sign waivers on the day. Location/Time: Hoboken High School JFK Football Field from 12-2pm!
