Day Trip 2021: Hog Island Explorations

Add to My CalendarJun 06, 2021
Last Date to register: Sunday, May 30th, 2021

This all-ages program will explore the magic of Hog Island as we examine tidal pools and discover the marine organisms of the island. Learn the history of Hog Island as we walk to our historic Bingham Cottages to look for birds, mushrooms, and plant life. A fully catered, seaside lunch is included. Please bring sturdy shoes for hiking and clothes you don’t mind getting wet if tidal pooling. Shoes are required at all times due to the rocky tideline that is filled with oysters and barnacle shells. Participants under 15 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No swimming is allowed at Hog Island Audubon Camp but we will do some deep wading with seine nets.

Program will start and end at the Hog Island Audubon Camp dock. Please arrive between 9:00 and 9:30am to check-in and park. We will be back to the mainland at approximately 3pm.

This program is no longer active.
