A special session devoted to springtime in Maine. This program includes a trip to Monhegan Island, world-known migratory hotspot and beautiful island village.
The highlight will be a trip to the fabled Monhegan Island, one of the best migrant traps in the Northeast. Monhegan is a place renowned for its birding, preserved rocky coastline, lobstering, and a famous destination for artists for over 100 years.
Throughout this special session focused on the breeding birds of Maine, participants will learn how to identify songbirds, learn bird song, and see migrants in their full breeding colors.
Note: No overnight stays on Monhegan for 2023 programs.
