Mountains to Sea Birding for Teens 2023

Designed for ages 14-17 only.
This intensive 5-night program will cover boreal-to-coastal bird species in Maine. We will spend part of the week at Maine Audubon's Borestone Mountain Sanctuary looking for boreal bird species such as Boreal Chickadee and nesting warblers. The remaining part of the week we will stay at Hog Island and explore the coast for shorebirds, nesting species, and puffins!
The historic cottages at Borestone and Hog Island will be more rustic in nature than the traditional Hog Island cabins. All participants should bring a sleeping bag and prepare for rustic conditions. Electricity will be provided at Borestone but there will be no wifi or phone reception, and there will be spotty service while on Hog Island. Please come prepared to unplug for the week.
