Entering 1st through Entering 2nd Grade students
Add to My CalendarJun 25-29, 2018
Last Date to register: Monday, June 18th, 2018

In a teacher-guided open studio format, children are introduced to a wide range of art materials and discover various media. Each day begins with students experimenting with new materials. We work with clay, experiment with printmaking, sketch, paint, and make sculptures. Sample projects include pendulum paintings, birdhouses, and watercolor landscapes. Campers develop their skills through the process of experimentation, focusing on the process rather than the product.

Any day at camp includes songs, games, and sensory activities. Campers will read about well-known artists, including Vincent Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, and Pablo Picasso. Structured activities will be balanced with free time and outdoor play, and each day will end with a calming and centering yoga practice.

This program is no longer active.
